Grading???

The students were informed today...as they at the end of every grading period of how they are assessed and how their grades are figured. I strongly feel that the more informed the students are the more aware they are of their progress and goals.

The students took the Math Placement Exam today for Junior High.... This was not something they could study for but rather they were reminded to do their personal best, take their time, and use what they know.

Comprehension: Asking questions, Author's Purpose, reading for understanding
Vocabulary: Using word structures for help with understanding
Grammar: Use of modifiers
Spelling: Suffixes

Reading: Don Quixote- Historical Fiction

MATH:
Review of skills
Pretesting Unit 9
Math Placement Exam for Junior High Classes

HOMEWORK:
Language Arts - Vocabulary Sheet - Due Wed.
Study Spelling Word - Complete spelling pg. 101
Math - None


UPCOMING:
***Book orders are due tomorrow
*** Camp forms are due this Friday...Both of the pink forms
***Camp is Monday May 3rd

Parent Thought:
Ask your child how their grades are figures, what percentage is based on homework / classwork, quizzes, and tests.????
